PERFORMER

Alison enjoys a varied career working with orchestras, ensembles and as a soloist, performing throughout the UK and internationally.  

 

As a founder member of the Manchester-based Fell Clarinet Quartet, Alison received a Professional Performance Diploma RNCM with distinction, and won awards from the Tunnell Trust and Live Music Now! Other chamber music invitations have included festivals in Cheltenham, Valletta and Stockholm with the Camilleri Piano Trio. Alison has worked collaboratively on Arts Council England funded contemporary commissions and performed live film scores in the Purcell Room and the Brighton Festival. 

 

Orchestral positions include Principal Clarinet with the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Principal Bass and E flat Clarinet with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. She is Principal Clarinet with the Orchestra of Sound & Light and performs regularly with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

 

Alison is a founder member of the Mayflower Ensemble and is the Director of Performing Arts Collaboration South

Alison is also a highly experienced teacher, educator, music workshop facilitator and music therapist.
